3 Days Nepal Tour Package with Nagarkot Hiking – Culture & Mountain Views

Detail Itinerary:

Day 1: Kathmandu city tour (Kathmandu day tour) 

At 9 in the morning, your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel and bring you to Kathesimbu for sightseeing. Kathesimbu located adjacent to Thamel is regarded as a replica of Swoyambhunath stupa and is a popular tourist spot. From here we proceed to spice and vegetable market of Ason and then to Indrachowk, the ancient trading point of Kathmandu Valley. We then enter Kathmandu Durbar Square where you will visit Kumari Ghar to receive blessings from living Goddess Kumari, explore palace courtyards and erotic temples before heading to Freak Street. Once a part of hippie trail during 1960s, Freak Street was notorious for selling hashish or marihuana openly to locals and tourists alike. 

Continuing our sightseeing, we will now visit Swoyambhu, which is the oldest Buddhist stupa in the world. After spending time here, we drive to Patan Durbar Square to visit medieval Malla palace, courtyards, museum and famous temples such as Krishna Temple, Golden Temple and Kumbeshwor Temple. Following this we drive back to Kathmandu and attend to a Nepali restaurant to watch traditional Nepali dance performances while enjoying traditional ethnic cuisine. After dinner we will escort you back to your hotel. 

Day 2: Nagarkot hiking

At 8.30am, we will pick you up from hotel and drive to Pashupatinath temple. In Pashupatinath temple we will observe Hindu cremation pyre, learn about Sadhus and their lifestyle and visit Guheswari temple. Afterwards we drive to Boudhanath where we will visit monastery and interact with Tibetan monks. Boudhanath is like a miniature Tibet where you will get insights into Tibetan culture. Thereafter we drive to Jarsingpauwa where we will have our lunch.

After lunch, at about 1.30pm, we start our hiking to Nagarkot. The journey from Jarsingpauwa to Nagarkot is 7 km and takes about two and a half hrs. Along the trail you will be able to witness a panorama of Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Dorje Lakpa, Jugal, Gauri Shankar etc. By sunset we will reach Nagarkot. Dinner is served in the hotel.

Day 3: Nagarkot to Bhaktapur

Wake up early to enjoy sunrise views and panorama of Himalayan peaks including Mt. Everest if the weather is clear. Afterwards, we will have breakfast then relax for a while. At around 9am we drive to Bhaktapur Durbar Square where we will visit Taumadhi, Pottery and Dattatraya Squares, explore museum, palaces and temples. 

Bhaktapur is a living museum for Newari arts and culture. You can enjoy delicious Newari lunch and the most famous yoghurt of Nepal called Juju Dhau. At about 3pm we will drive back to Kathmandu and drop you at your hotel.
