Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu – Welcome and Preparation

Upon your arrival at Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will be waiting to welcome you at the arrival terminal, holding a placard with your name for easy identification. You will then be comfortably transferred to your hotel in the city centre.
The rest of the day is for you to rest and recover from your trip, giving you time to acclimatize and recharge. If you wish, you can spend the evening strolling around the nearby markets - this is a great opportunity to make last minute purchases of essential trekking gear or to experience the vibrant local atmosphere of Kathmandu.
Later in the evening, a brief orientation session will be conducted by your trek leader or tour coordinator. This pre-trip meeting will cover essential details about your upcoming trip and provide an opportunity to address any questions or concerns you may have.
Overnight stay will be at your hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing, Trek Preparation & Permit Procedures

After breakfast, you will have the opportunity to either enjoy a relaxed day or go on a guided sightseeing tour to explore the rich cultural and historical heritage of the Kathmandu Valley. The city has a quiet charm in the morning, providing a peaceful atmosphere before the hustle and bustle of the day begins.
For those interested in exploring the city's heritage in depth, we can arrange an optional full-day guided tour, Which will be led by a knowledgeable, English-speaking local guide, who will provide in-depth commentary on the ancient sites and vibrant traditions of the area.

Optional Sightseeing Tours:

  • Sacred Sites of the Valley: Visit some of the most revered spiritual sites, including the Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), the sacred Pashupatinath Temple, and the exquisite Patan Durbar Square – a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its intricate Newari architecture.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Dhampus Village via Pokhara (Drive or Flight Option)

Today begins your journey towards the Annapurna region. Depending on the mode of transport you choose, the day's itinerary will vary slightly.

Option 1: Drive from Kathmandu to Dhampus Village

After having an early morning breakfast at our hotel, we will depart from Kathmandu by road. The scenic drive begins by descending from the Kathmandu Valley, Passing through terraced hills and along the Trishuli River, the route offers panoramic views of Nepal's varied topography, including lush green valleys, deep river gorges, and traditional villages.
After reaching the flat land near Pokhara, we will stop for a leisurely lunch. Continuing our journey, we head west on the Baglung Highway towards Phedi, the gateway to Dhampus. From Phedi, a short climb or walk takes us to the picturesque village of Dhampus, situated high above the valley, offering panoramic views of Machapuchare (fish tail mountain), the Annapurna range and the city of Pokhara, including the shimmering Phewa Lake.

Option 2: Flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara, then Drive to Dhampus

For those who choose to travel by air, a short and scenic 25-minute flight from Kathmandu will take you to Pokhara. Upon arrival at Pokhara Airport, you will be transferred to Phedi and then boarded at Dhampus Village as mentioned above. If you choose this option, please ensure that flight arrangements are confirmed at the time of booking.

Day 04: Trek from Dhampus Village to Tolka (1,700m) – Approx. 5 Hours

After spending a peaceful night in the beautiful village of Dhampus, home to the warm and welcoming Gurung community, you will begin your trek to Tolka. The trail passes through stunning rhododendron forests, which come alive especially during the flowering season, offering a colourful and immersive experience in nature.
As you proceed along this trail, you will get to cross a series of suspension bridges over Modi Khola and Mardi Khola, which will add an element of adventure to your day trip. The route is a mix of gentle ups and downs, taking you through tranquil landscapes and terraced fields.
Along the way, you'll pass through Bheri Kharka, a charming Gurung settlement that offers a glimpse into the traditional lifestyle of the region. Eventually, you'll reach Tolaka, a quiet hill village surrounded by forested peaks and views of the Annapurna range.
In the evening, relax in one of the cozy local tea houses or lodges and enjoy the village hospitality and hearty meals.

Day 05: Trek from Tolka to Jhinu Danda (1,780m) – Approx. 5 Hours

Today's trek will take you from the quiet village of Tolka to Jhinnu Danda, a popular resting spot known for its natural hot springs. The journey begins with a climb down the well-laid stone stairs that lead through lush forests and terraced fields. Although the trail can be physically demanding – especially on your knees – its spectacular views and cultural encounters make it a memorable experience.
As you descend, you will pass through the charming Gurung village of Landruk, where you can see traditional architecture and daily rural life, providing a rich cultural immersion. The route leads to beautiful views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges along with the iconic Machchhapuchhre (Fishtail Peak) rising majestically at an altitude of 6,993 m.
Upon reaching Jhinnu Danda, you will have the opportunity to relax in the natural hot springs located a short distance downhill from the village. These healing waters provide a perfect way to relax your muscles after a long day of climbing and enjoy the peaceful ambiance of the Himalayan foothills.

Day 06: Trek from Jhinu Danda to Ghandruk Village (1,940m) – Approx. 5 Hours

Today's trek will take you through some of the most beautiful and culturally rich landscapes of the Annapurna region. Starting from Jhinnu Danda, the trail begins on a slope and then climbs to a beautiful ridge, from where one can see sweeping views of Jhinnu Danda, Chhomrong and the surrounding valleys.
As you proceed further, the trail passes through lush rhododendron forests, which are abuzz with colours during the flowering season, interspersed with open fields offering spectacular views of the Himalayan peaks. The last stop takes you to Ghandruk, the largest Gurung village in the Annapurna region, which is a cultural highlight of your trek.
In Ghandruk, you'll get the chance to see the village's unique architecture, visit the Gurung Cultural Museum, and even wear traditional Gurung attire – a memorable way to connect with the local heritage. As the day progresses, you'll be rewarded with spectacular panoramic views of Annapurna South (7,219m) and the distinctive peak of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail, 6,993m).

Day 07: Trek from Ghandruk to Syauli Bazaar (1,220m) – 3 Hours, Drive to Pokhara (820m) – 2 Hours

After breakfast, you will begin your descent from the charming village of Ghandruk. The trail follows a well-paved stone staircase that leads gently downhill through terraced fields, traditional houses and lush greenery. This easy-paced, 3-hour walk offers one last chance to feel the peace and beauty of the Annapurna region.
Your trekking journey ends when you reach Syauli Bazaar. From here, a scenic 2-hour drive takes you back to Pokhara, a serene lakeside town nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas. After checking in to your hotel, you will have the evening free to explore Pokhara Lakeside, which is known for its lively atmosphere, live music, lakeside cafes and a variety of dining options.
This is an ideal time to reflect on your trekking experience and unwind while enjoying the views of Phewa Lake and the surrounding hills.

Day 08: Return to Kathmandu from Pokhara (Drive or Flight Option)

After having breakfast at your hotel in Pokhara, you will begin your journey to Kathmandu. The return journey can be done in one of several ways according to your preference:

  • Tourist Bus: A comfortable and beautiful journey of 6-7 hours along the winding rivers and beautiful hills. Tourist bus is included in your package and departs in the morning.
  • Private Vehicle (Optional): For greater flexibility and comfort, a private vehicle can be arranged to pick you up directly from your hotel at your preferred time.
  • Flight (Optional): For those who wish to reduce the travel time and enjoy the panoramic aerial view of the Himalayas, a short and convenient flight of 25 minutes is available.

Please let us know your preferred mode of transport at the time of booking so that arrangements can be made accordingly.
Upon arrival in Kathmandu you will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for relaxing, last-minute shopping or optional tours.

Day 09: Final Departure from Kathmandu

After having a leisurely breakfast at your hotel, the rest of the morning is free for you to relax, pack luggage or do some last-minute shopping or sightseeing, depending on your flight schedule. You can use this time to wander around the nearby markets or sit at a local cafe and think about your trip to the Himalayas.
At the appropriate time, a representative from our team will meet you at your hotel and take you to Tribhuvan International Airport in a private vehicle. We recommend arriving at the airport at least 3 hours before your scheduled international flight.
As you depart Nepal, we hope you leave with unforgettable memories, lasting friendships, and a deep appreciation for the cultural and natural wonders you experienced. We wish you a safe and enjoyable return home and look forward to welcoming you back for future adventures.
