Jomsom Muktinath Trek for Families

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu.

You will be welcomed by our staff standing with your name card at the airport arrival terminal and transferred to your hotel by a private vehicle. Your hotel is in the middle of the city. You will have nothing planned for the day, so take a rest and gather the energy to walk on the trails. Else, if you have some personal gears to buy, you can go shopping in the Market in the evening. There will be a small meeting about the trek in the evening. You will spend a night in a hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu Valley sightseeing and trek preparation, Permits Procedure

After enjoying breakfast, you have the option to spend your day exploring the many famous sights around Kathmandu. The city has a unique charm in the early morning as it slowly comes to life, but still remains relatively peaceful. You can choose to have a free day or take advantage of our offer to provide a knowledgeable, English-speaking guide who can lead you to some of the most significant sites and explain their history.

Optional day tours:

We offer a variety of optional day tours to choose from, including the Sacred Sites of the Valley, a full-day excursion to visit Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath and Patan Durbar Square. You can also visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Boudhanath, and see the world's largest spherical stupa, or explore the largest and most sacred Hindu temple in Nepal. For those who want to venture outside of the city, a 30-minute drive will take you to the ancient city of Bhaktapur, known for its medieval art and wood carving. You can also take a one-hour mountain flight to see Mount Everest or go hiking or mountain biking in the scenic Shivapuri National Park, located on the northern edge of the Kathmandu Valley. After your day's adventure, you'll return to your hotel in the early evening where you'll meet with our specialist or one of their staff members who will provide you with a detailed briefing of your upcoming trip, including what to expect and transportation logistics.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Pokhara (Drive)

Starting the day with an early breakfast at your hotel, we'll set off on our journey to Pokhara. The road out of the Kathmandu Valley winds its way down the valley wall, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding hills, gorges, rivers, and villages that are unique to central Nepal. As we make our way towards Pokhara, we'll make a stop for lunch before heading towards the city. Our journey is made comfortable with the use of tourist buses, but if you prefer a more personalized experience, you may choose private vehicles or flights, which can be arranged at the time of booking.
Upon arrival in Pokhara, we'll check into your hotel, and you'll have some time to explore the neighbourhood. Take a leisurely stroll along the picturesque walkway by the lake, where you can find various interesting shops and restaurants. Don't forget to admire the stunning sight of Fishtail Mountain towering over the city. With the first day of your adventure now complete, you can unwind, relax and recharge for the exciting experiences that await you on the rest of your journey

Day 04:Pokhara to Jomsom (2713m) Trek Jomsom to Kagbeni (2897m) 7-8 Hrs

As we make our way towards Kagbeni, we'll make a stop for lunch before heading towards the Jomsom. Our journey is made comfortable with the use of tourist buses till Jomsom then we will catch a jeep to Kgbeni for this route, but if you prefer a more personalized experience, you may choose private vehicles or flights, which can be arranged at the time of booking.
Or. Our journey will begin early in the morning with a 25-minute scenic flight to Jomsom that offers stunning views of the mountains. Following breakfast, we will embark on a trek from Jomsom (2713m) to Kagbeni (2897m) along the wide valley of the Kali Gandaki. As we ascend towards Kagbeni, we will have the wind at our backs in the morning, before it typically intensifies after midday. Upon arrival at Kagbeni, we will spend the rest of the day immersing ourselves in the village's culture and meeting its people.

Day 05: Kagbeni to Muktinath (3,855 m/12,635ft)- 4 hrs

Trekking up the Jhong River valley towards Muktinath is a scenic climb that offers marvellous views of Thorong Peak, Nilgiri, and Dhaulagiri. On the way, you pass through ancient villages and encounter the temple of Muktinath, which is a popular pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists seeking salvation

Day 06: Muktinath to Jomsom (2600m) Duration: 5 hrs

After performing the morning prayers at the temple and having breakfast at the guest house, we embark on an easy downhill trek towards Jomsom. As we retrace our steps, we are treated to beautiful views of Mt. Dhaulagiri. Along the way, we pass through Jarkot, where we have the opportunity to visit another monastery and witness the rich Tibetan culture on display through ancient caves and snow-capped mountain views. The trail downhill offers stunning vistas of the Nilgiri Himal (7061m) and Dhaulagiri range until we reach Jharkot. Continuing on the descent, we finally reach the windy city of Jomsom.

Day 07: Jomsom to Pokhara (820 m/ 2,690 ft)

As we make our way back towards Pokhara, we'll make a stop for lunch before heading towards the Pokhara. Our journey is made comfortable with the use of tourist buses till Pokhara for this route. Upon arrival, you can check into your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day exploring at your own pace.

Start your day off in Jomsom with a delicious breakfast before boarding a 30-minute morning flight to Pokhara. Make sure to snag a window seat so you don't miss the incredible views of the mountains along the way. Upon arrival, you can check into your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day exploring at your own pace. This laid-back lakeside town is the perfect gateway to the Himalayas and offers plenty of cool cafés, restaurants, water activities, funky shops, and yoga studios that cater to ex-pats and adventure travellers alike. Depending on your preferences, you can either fly back to Kathmandu or take a day to explore Pokhara before catching a tourist bus to Kathmandu the following day. which can be planned at the time of booking.

Day 08: Pokhara to Kathmandu (Drive)

Once you finish your breakfast, it's time to set off on your journey back to Kathmandu. You can choose to board a comfortable tourist bus, which we provide for this route, or have your private vehicle arranged to pick you up from your hotel. Alternatively, you may even opt for a flight to Kathmandu, depending on your preference and requirements. Please remember to inform us of your choice while booking your trip.

Day 09: Final departure

Breakfast at the hotel. Free & easy until the representative of our team will transfer you to the airport and depart to your own country.
