Nestled in the heart of the majestic Himalayan mountains, Tsum Valley is a hidden gem surrounded by the magnificent Baudha Himal, Himal Chuli, Ganesh Himal, and Sringi Himal in the northern Gorkha district of Nepal. This awe-inspiring valley remained a secret for centuries, but it was finally revealed to the world in 2008, making it a pristine and unspoiled destination.
The name Tsum is derived from the Tibetan word "Tsombo," which means vivid. As its name suggests, the valley is a natural wonderland with crystal-clear streams, lush vegetation, towering peaks, cascading waterfalls, unspoiled hot springs, ancient relics, and much more. The valley's Buddhist monasteries, nunneries, chortens, prayer walls, and religious monuments are significant attractions, with the longest mani walls at Dzong and Phurpe.
The trek through Tsum Valley offers a breathtaking adventure through semi-tropical to pure alpine landscapes, with numerous waterfalls, dense forests of pine and rhododendron, high passes, spectacular peaks, hanging suspension bridges, and abundant wildlife. The trail is close to the Tibetan border, providing a cultural experience through homestays, local lodges, and traditional Tibetan Buddhist food, such as Dal Bhat, Chapatis, and noodle soup.
Overall, the Tsum Valley trek offers a stunning combination of natural beauty, warm culture, charming locals, and mouth-watering food that is sure to leave a lasting impression on anyone.

The choice of which route to take to get to Arughat depends on personal preference and available time.

After a challenging ascent, you will finally reach the Gurung village of Labubesi, where you will be welcomed by the warm hospitality of the locals. Behind the village lies a rocky outcrop that opens up to a panoramic view of the valley, with the Budhi Gandaki river meandering through wide gravel bars.
